Today I experienced one of the greatest moments of my life: Got up early to go watch my paratrooper son Yehudah, namesake of my Auschwitz surviving grandfather, perform his first aircraft jump. It was exhilarating and incredibly meaningful, as though thousands of years of hope and a lifetime of ideology & spiritualism combined with technological accomplishment and national realization had culminated into this one metaphysical yet very tangible moment.
