On March 31 the Israel in Los Angeles Facebook page posted the following in honor of Cesar Chavez Day:
#CesarChavezDay is a good opportunity to reflect on the friendship between the Jewish and Latino communities in the United States. Chavez felt strongly about the importance of these relations and said he was “proud to stand with [his] Jewish brothers and sisters” and understood that a “national home for the Jewish people is a natural and legitimate aspiration of one of history’s most oppressed minorities”.
