Last night Yeshivat Noam of Paramus, New Jersey honored their longtime janitor Luis Sanchez at their fifteenth annual dinner with the Service Recognition Award.

As Head of Custodial Services, Luis is sort of a jack of all trades for the school. Enid Anziska, Executive Director of the school said “there’s just an extra bit of heart that Luis adds to the job, that’s the reason why we’re honoring him.”

Luis has never called in sick in ten years.

When talking about how he sees the teachers he says, “the teachers care about those kids as their own children.”

Principal Rabbi Chaim Hagler said “Luis is the man. The school doesn’t run without Luis.” He continued, “He does it all with a smile and the kids love him. He’s probably the most popular guy in the entire school.”
