US Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, says he expects the US Embassy to move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem during President Trump’s first term.
JBS president, Mark S. Golub, spoke to the ambassador at the ZOA Gala in New York. He asked Friedman, “Will the Embassy be moved, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, during Donald Trump’s first four years in office?” To which Friedman replied, “I’m pretty confident that it will. Yes.”
Last week, the US House Subcommittee on National Security held a hearing on the matter. Israel is the only country in which the US does not have its embassy in its capital city. Both Democrat and Republican administrations have refrained from making the move, until now.
