Israel Hayom created a video to find out. Some of the Egyptians participating in the video has heard of maror, as they have had it shipped in from Israel before, but those who had not were a little more surprised.
An older man said matzah is the pita of his grandparents and they all seemed to think gefilte fish was a Middle Eastern dish.
