Marijuana users are rejoicing in Israel as the country has proposed to decriminalize personal marijuana use. Up to 15 grams will be allowed if the new policy is approved and it will be enforced in three months.
It will mean that first time offenders caught smoking recreational marijuana will be fined instead of prosecuted, but repeat offenders will still face criminal charges.
9 percent of Israelis use cannabis, os this new policy is a positive step for them.
