Residents of Jerusalem’s Ramat Shlomo neighborhood were more than a bit surprised to see police writing parking tickets for vehicles on Shabbos. Police explain vehicles targeted were interfering with the flow of traffic in the area. Residents report at least ten vehicles received summones.

One resident, who parked his vehicle close to candle lighting time explained, “This is the first time we encounter this response from police. It is an outrage that parking tickets are written on Shabbos or to think traffic laws must be enforced on Shabbos.
