I just wanted to let you know about a new initiative that was started recently in Yerushalayim to combat the singles crisis, called Shidduch in a Box. (SIB) SIB works as follows. If you register with us (it's FREE) we come to your wedding at set up tables at the entrances with blank shidduch profiles, pencils, a box for completed profiles to go in, and a letter explaining how it all works. While you are in the yichud room and the guests are sitting around waiting for you, your single friends fill out their information on the profiles provided, and stick it in the box on the table. At the end of the wedding, along with all your gifts, you take home a 'shidduch kit' with 2 notebooks with all your friends' shidduch information (A notebook of men and a notebook of women.) When you have recovered from sheva brachot and are all settled down in your new married lives, you can sit down and make shidduchim between your friends at your conveinence, and you will have all the relevant information in front of you. Shidduch in a Box comes reccomended by prominent educators in the Torah community.
