Out of all trends, I’ve picked and listed the hottest choices for you to take a look at.

  1. Flower Crowns and Tiaras

There was a time when a bride was characterized by a white dress and a long veil. Soon after, the veils became smaller and the dresses became less princess-like. Right now, brides have split opinions about wearing veils. You’ll still find some brides who want to go traditional, but most of them will choose something entirely different. Today, the hype includes tiaras and crowns, even those colourful flower crowns you’ve probably seen at least once.

  1. Balloon Walls

Brides tend to prefer flowers instead of veils, but they’ve certainly did some changes in terms of the flower arrangements in weddings. One of the most popular trends today is seen on walls. Instead of flower walls, newlyweds today choose to make balloon walls. They make quite the celebratory wedding decor and are pretty much used for every party and event.

  1. Minimalism

You might see a bride with an extravagant crown or many with enormous wedding dresses today, but you’ll probably notice that the excitement over making a huge wedding is long gone. This is partly because of the big cost, but also because of the preference for minimalism. A wedding should feel special and for that, it doesn’t have to be huge.

Plus, a minimalistic wedding is much easier to plan. You can delegate most of the tasks and ask your friends and family to pitch in with photography, decorations, or even music. This type of wedding is very affordable and most popular with students, just like a professional essay writer for students is when they have an assignment due.

  1. Rustic and Barn Weddings

Both these types of weddings are seeing a huge rise in interest. The traditional wedding held in banquet halls does not attract as many couples as it did before. People are quite literally searching for an easily accessible, affordable, as well as unique venue where they’ll say their vows and exchange wedding rings.

  1. Outdoor Weddings

Speaking of wedding venues trends, this is probably the most widely used today. There are plenty of halls built on the outside, but also couples that search for romantic spots for the best day of their lives. Nowadays, you’ll see couples getting hitched on a sandy beach somewhere.

  1. Long Sleeve Dresses

This wedding dresses trend has been quite active for the last couple of years. The changes in wedding dresses have been tremendous throughout the years. We’ve moved from big Cinderella dresses to mermaid lace dresses in the blink of the eye. And just recently, brides have added sleeve dresses to their wedding plans.

  1. Non-white

Weddings are always imagined as white. The bride wears a white dress and a while veil, and the decorations always include the colour white. However, today, brides aren’t afraid to avoid this tradition altogether.  You’ll see many brides who choose a dress of different colour simply because they don’t like the colour, tradition, or because they want to stand out.

  1. Digital Invitations

Whether it’s because it is cheaper or because technology is an enormous part of our lives, printed invitations are hardly ever used today. It’s simpler to send out online invites and get instant response, than sending them in the mail or bringing them to the guests in person.

  1. No Wedding Cakes

This may come as a surprise, but in the past few years, the popularity for grand wedding cakes has declined quite a lot. Most couples choose a small cake with little decor or no cake at all.

  1. Eloping

Finally, the most extreme change of them all – eloping. Planning a wedding can be stressful, not to mention really expensive. For this reason, couples today are more interested to elope rather than plan a big wedding.

Final Thoughts

Planning a wedding is different for everyone. In the end, it all comes down to what you want to do and how you want to do it. Nowadays, the only trend you should be following is the trend to do whatever you please. We live in a free world, so don’t be afraid to be the bride or groom you always wanted to be!
