Cue the wedding bells! Becca Kufrin of Bachelor Nation is engaged to Thomas Jacobs. The Bachelorette alumnus announced the wonderful moments on May 29 and disclosed, in an unexpected move, that she had proposed. The television personality wrote on Instagram that she was the one who popped the question instead of Jacobs—a twist you’d only expect on BetAmo.
Kufrin stated that their engagement has been pretty low-key—they announced the news only to their loved ones for a while. However, they were finally ready to share their excitement with their fan base. In addition to the wonderful news, Kufrin uploaded photos of herself and her fiancé. The couple were embracing and drinking champagne as he flaunted his silver band. Jacobs headed to his Instagram account to inform his followers of the news.
Jacobs captioned the announcement on his Instagram account and called the proposal an “Uno reverse card.” He then went on to describe how Kufrin keeping him on his toes sounded like an amazing happily ever after. This was captioned for a series of photographs that show him flaunting his ring, opening a bottle with his new fiancée, and, of course, savoring the big occasion with his puppy.
Serene Pitts, Rachel Lindsay, and Jojo Fletcher were among the Bachelor Nation alumni who were more than excited to hear the news. They congratulated the couple on their engagement and shared their enthusiasm about doing things their way.
Kufrin’s marriage to Jacobs is her third. Kufrin proposed to Arie Luyendyk Jr. during his run on The Bachelor. Following her season on The Bachelorette, Kufrin married Garrett Yrigoyen.
Jacob’s adventure with Bachelor Nation began during Katie Thurston’s year on The Bachelorette. Kufrin and Jacobs met and fell in love on season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise. Tragically, the couple split up at the finals in October 2021. Following the episode’s airing, ABC announced that the couple had renewed their love off-screen.
The couple got engaged after dating for less than a year. Kufrin said earlier this month that Jacobs would have to meet certain standards before going down on one knee.
On an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Kufrin talked about the standards with co-host Michelle Young. She noted that asking for her mom’s blessing is one of those things and that he can’t just propose without doing that.
She went on to say that she already had two extremely public engagements and understood that she disliked them. In fact, Kufrin said she doesn’t want it to happen again and that Thomas was well informed of this. She said that, in her opinion, certain people focus too much on the proposal and the ceremony event rather than the real marriage.
