Figure 1 Why not make a special trip for your celebration?

Sometimes it is fitting to celebrate quietly at home with close family and friends. No matter what the occasion, it is the feeling of love that marks the day in a special way. But sometimes it is an even better idea to push the boat out and go big. Where else to celebrate in a more extravagant way than in Vegas?

Sin City is known for many things, including the neon casinos and the perfect place for your selection of Vegas bets. But there is much more to this city in the desert. It doesn’t have to be a case of “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. Take a look at these ideas for Las Vegas activities and tell the world about the great time you had!

Helicopter Night Flight

If you ever get the chance to drive into Las Vegas you should make sure that you are getting close to the city as dusk falls. You will see the glow of the casino lights from miles away and get a real sense of how an entertainment capital was transplanted into the middle of the Nevada desert.

But if you can’t manage to do that, you should look into taking a helicopter ride over the famous city at night. The panoramic view from a chopper taking a flight over the Strip is an experience you will never forget. Spot the famous attractions from the sky and see the city in a unique way.

Cruise the Strip

If you just can’t decide on what you want to see first when you visit Las Vegas, why not take a stroll down the 4.2 miles of neon wonder that is the Strip? You will be able to take in all the views of the extravagant casino resorts and spot countless features from films and TV.

Whether it’s the gondolas of The Venetian or the volcanoes of The Mirage, the photo opportunities never end. You could jump on a bus if you want to rest your feet but we recommend the walk to take in the full spectacle. They call New York the city that never sleeps – but those people have obviously never been to Vegas!

Marvel at the Fountains

One of the most popular attractions on the Las Vegas Strip is, understandably, one of the casinos. But it is not the promise of winning big on the slots. The Bellagio’s dancing fountains are the highlight of many visitors’ trip – and the whole enchanting spectacle is completely free.

You will do very well to miss the show as well. The 12,000 geysers in the eight-and-a-half-acre lake in front of the resort dance for the delight of passers-by every 30 minutes in the afternoon and every 15 minutes in the evening until midnight. You just won’t be able to tear yourself away.

Take a Trip to the Past

Las Vegas is not really known for its preservation of history. That’s not to say that the city does not have a famous – and, at times, infamous – past. But this is a place that enjoys blowing things up when they get past their sell-by date, a little stale, or just plain unprofitable.

But to get a feeling of what the place must have been like in the glory days of the Rat Pack, why not take a tour around The Neon Museum? Many of the iconic signs of yesteryear are preserved and showcased here and visitors can listen to stories about the characters that made this city unlike anywhere else on Earth.

Catch a Show

There was a time when the likes of Frank Sinatra set up home in Las Vegas and played to thousands of adoring fans every single night. Stars like Old Blue Eyes may have helped the city become an epicenter of entertainment, but there are still plenty of attractions these days too.

Choose from elaborate magic shows, top-tier comedy, or a classic Las Vegas show – there is something for everyone on the Strip. Book ahead for the megastars like Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, or take in a smaller, more intimate production. Whatever you choose to do in Las Vegas for your celebration, your trip is sure to be unforgettable.
